1) (similar) 一样 [yīyàng]

The houses were all the same. — 房子都一样。

2) (unchanged) 一成不变的状况 [yīchéngbùbiàn de zhuàngkuàng]

Nothing ever stays the same. — 事情不可能是一成不变的。

3) also: the same thing 同样 [tóngyàng]

We like him very much and he says the same about us. — 我们很喜欢他,他说他也同样喜欢我们。
